4.1 Overview

MR KITCHEN COMPANY LIMITED respects customer privacy and aims to process personal information lawfully, fairly and securely, with reference to Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). This policy explains our collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information.

4.2 Information we may collect

  • Name, telephone/WhatsApp number, email and delivery address.
  • Google Maps pins or shared location information, landmarks and access instructions provided for delivery.
  • Products ordered, order quantities, transaction references, payment confirmation and delivery records.
  • Enquiries, complaints, refunds, customer messages and feedback.
  • Technical website information such as browser type, IP address and cookie information where the website or service provider actually collects it.

4.3 How information is used

We use information to confirm purchases, process payments, coordinate deliveries, contact customers, resolve complaints, arrange refunds, maintain accounting records, protect against fraud, improve services and meet relevant legal obligations. Promotional messages are sent where a lawful basis applies; customers can request to stop non-essential marketing.

4.4 Sharing with delivery partners

For the purpose of delivery, MR KITCHEN may provide a selected third-party logistics operator (including Yango, Bolt or cargo services) with the customer name, contact number, delivery address, Google Maps location pin, landmarks and instructions reasonably required to complete the order. We seek to share only necessary information and ask providers to use it for the relevant delivery service.

4.5 Payments and other service providers

Payment processing may be handled by Paystack or other authorised providers. MR KITCHEN does not ask customers for PINs or one-time passwords and does not intentionally store complete payment-card details in its own systems. We may share relevant data with website hosting, communications, logistics and professional service providers or competent authorities where justified or required by law.

4.6 Cookies and promotional communications

Our website may use essential cookies and, where configured, analytics or marketing technologies. Appropriate notices and choices will be provided where required. Customers may manage browser cookies and can opt out of non-essential promotional communications without affecting transactional messages.

4.7 Security and retention

We aim to limit access to personal information to authorised persons, use reasonable safeguards and retain records only as long as necessary for operational, legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. No electronic system is entirely free from risk. Where data is processed outside Ghana by a service provider, we aim to apply safeguards required under applicable law.

4.8 Customer rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to their information, correction of inaccuracies, withdrawal of consent where relevant, objection to certain processing and deletion where appropriate. We may verify identity before responding. Customers may also raise complaints through competent authorities.

4.9 Children and policy updates

The website is intended for customers legally capable of ordering or appropriately authorised by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly seek children’s information without a lawful basis. Changes to this policy will be published with an updated effective date.
